This article analyzes a new phase of economic rapprochement of Russia with the DPRK. It was stimulated by some initiatives of the Russian government
and business community of Russia to create large investment projects in Korea. Thus North Korea occupies a special place in Russia's strategy in Asia. However, due to the nuclear test carried out by North Korea and imposed tough sanctions
it is necessary to activate the six-party talks to solve the explosive situation
on the Korean Peninsula.
