Kiyanskaya O.I., Feldman D.M.

Abstract

The subject of the article is the fate of V. Narbut, the famous «acmeist» poet. In 1919, in the whirlwind of revolution events, he was captured by Denikin’s secret service and made a statement against Soviet authorities. Its full version is presented in this work for the first time. Nine years later, the statement became known to the Communist party leaders, after which Narbut was expelled from the party and lost his job. Another document published in this article is Narbut’s letter to A.A. Solts, one of the Communist leaders of the 1920 s. The poet attempted to clarify the circumstances of his arrest in 1919 and thus justify himself.
