This article addresses the Catholic political doctrine formulated during the
period of the pontificate of Benedict XVI. The fundamentals of state power described
in the encyclicals of the pontiff, the correlation of morality and law, morality and politics
are described in the article. The author comes to a conclusion that the ways of solving the
problems that Benedict XVI offered during his pontificate have not lost their relevance.
