The paper addresses the issue of TNC in the Russian import substitution,
their role in the development of Russian industries and agriculture. It is demonstrated that
TNCs' strategies are characterized by great flexibility which allowed them to reduce
the negative impact of sanctions and geopolitical tensions and was instrumental in the
successful integration into the import substitution.
