Concepts of the Beginning and the End of History: Historiographic Review

Alikberov A.K.

Abstract

This article is a brief historiographic review of the historical, political, philosophical and religious concepts of the beginning and the end of history, which are considered in the prism of a new system-communicative approach. Striving to locate the watershed between the past and the future, this method is based on measuring time itself, which is divided into past, present and future. The past in the time dimension is an accomplished present, therefore only the present moment is the boundary between history and non-history.

Keywords

the beginning of history, the end of history, the boundary between history and modernity, modern history, post-history.
