Abstract

A translation of the book by a leading Polish specialist closes one of the major gaps in the Russian historiography of the intellectual history in the era of World War I. The Eastern European material new to the Russian reader reveals many details of the «war of professors» waged by European intellectuals, which generated and entrenched many dangerous stereotypes in a number of social sciences.
