Klimovich L.V.

Abstract

The topic of the social and scientific heritage of the political parties of Russia in the first quarter of the 20 th century, their manifestos, and discussions about the ways of Russia's development is still relevant and requires the introduction of new sources into scientific circulation. The collection under review (Party of Socialist Revolutionaries in Exile. 1918 – early 1950s: Documents and materials. M.: Politicheskaja jenciklopedija, 2022. 1183 p.) makes a significant contribution to the study of the Socialist Revolutionary Party (SRP) and, in general, Russian emigration between 1918 and the early 1950s. It contains materials from Russian and foreign archives, most of which have become available to Russian historians for the first time. The book is divided into 5 sections, thematically and chronologically related to each other. The first section is «Correspondence of the Socialist Revolutionary emigration (1919–1925)». The second section is called «Socialist Revolutionary Emigration and the International Campaign of Solidarity with the Defendants of the Moscow Demonstration Trial of Socialist Revolutionaries. 1922». The third block includes documents on congresses and conferences of the SRP in exile. Noteworthy is the section on the activities of various organizations of the SRP in emigration and the struggle between them in 1926–1933. The fifth section includes materials on the history of the Socialist Revolutionaries for the period 1930–1950s. The researchers who prepared the collection for publication have been working on this topic for many years, which once again confirms the seriousness of the peer-reviewed work.
