This overview is based on the materials of the Russian academic conference
organised by INION RAN, in which researchers from Moscow and regional universities
took part in.
The main goal of the conference was to launch the discussion on the main issues of
European development in the context of a serious geopolitical crisis stemming from the
military conflict in the center of Europe. The discussion focused on security issues and
ways of resolving the crisis, as well as a reformation of the European political landscape
(individual countries and institutions) and the crisis’ economic dimension.
