The paper conducted a study of the development of relations between Turkey and the United States in the period between 2014 and 2023. The key problem areas of relations between the two countries, their causes and consequences were identified. In the course of the research, the author turned to the analytical works of leading American think tanks: RAND Corporation, Congressional Research Service, etc., as well as international a number of primary reasons that negatively affected the relations between Turkey and the United States: Washington's interaction with the Kurds, its increased support for Israel under President Donald Trump, and the condemnation of Turkey on the issue of the Armenian Genocide by Joe Biden. Special attention was paid to the deterioration of relations between Turkey and the United States in the context of Ankara’s participation in NATO, which allowed a broader study of the problem in the context of regional security in the Middle East.
