In the 21st century, the world is being rapidly enriched by a large number of innovations, while the global economic and political order is changing. Thus cryptocurriencies were created and, due to their essential characteristics, are not controlled by state and other financial regulators, which is the most important factor in their dynamic development, especially in the first time after creation. However, there are a number of problems in the field of cryptocurrency turnover that hinder their further integration into the modern financial sphere. The main one is that legislative framework for regulating digital relations does not keep pace with the dynamic development of digital technologies, and as s result, there is no crypto regulation in most countries as well as at the international level. Some countries are already following the path of creating their own legal crypto regulation while others, despite the global nature of cash flows in the crypto market, deny its expediency and do not plan to introduce any regulation yet. Despite the difference in approaches, the fundamental trend in the development of the modern crypto market is the vector of strengthening its legislative regulation. Thus countries that previously banned the circulation of cryptocurrencies are beginning to implement regulation; countries that have already accumulated experience in this area, primarily in emerging markets, are strengthening cryptoregulation in the post-crisis period. Legislation has already been formed in a number of countries. At the international level, the issues of creating supranational rules for regulating the turnover of cryptocurrencies and a qualitavely new international mechanism for their regulation are also being increasingly raised. And within this framework cryptocurrencies act as a new global phenomenon, the regulation of which is a common task of the world community.
