Contemporary Strategic Communication and Streaming Platforms

Леонов Е.С.

Abstract

The article examines new forms of strategic communication in the form of streaming platforms, which are mobile and interactive channels of interaction with target audiences. Streaming, which is based on an entertainment component, is an effective means of conveying political and ideological narratives to young people. For example, the “zoomer” generation, not burdened with issues of survival, bases its behavioral model not on economic motives but on value guidelines, which accelerates its vulnerability to Western propaganda. This, in turn, has determined the need for the Russian Federation to develop its own technological streaming platforms. Contemporary Russian streaming resources, with large data libraries based on cloud technologies, do not require a significant load on hardware and storage devices. This allows them to reach multimillion-user audiences with diverse financial capabilities and preferences.
