The economic relations between Russia and the Central and East European countries have been negatively impacted by such factors as the political tensions in the Russia-European Union relations, economic problems both in Russia and Europe, the Western sanctions on Russia, etc. As a result, what we are witnessing today is the deterioration of mutual trade, weak presence of the countries of Eastern Europe on the Russian market as well as weak participation of Russian businesses in the economies of these countries.
