Abstract

Tracing the key stages of the development of eschatological ideas from the times of ancient Rus’ to the Silver Age in Russian culture and post-revolutionary expatriate philosophy, the author postulates the fundamental features of the Russian religio-philosophical outlook, these being messianiasm, apocalyptism and utopism.
