This article is about changes in the A.I. Herzen’s political position. The
author analyzes the impact on Herzen Jacobin political tradition, Herzen's reaction to the revolutionary events of 1848–1849, his attitude of the Russian revolutionary movement. The author pays Special attention to the analysis of unknown relations of Herzen with the French Democrats.
