Socio-Economic Inequality: The Russian Trends

Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics of socio-economic inequality in Russia in the Soviet and modern periods. Today the exceeding differentiation of population by the material welfare level impedes economic growth, reduces consumer demand and aggravates social problems. The article grounds the evidence in effective state social and economic policy necessary to overcome the unfair inequality.
