The review examines the publication of the first complete translation of Count V.N. Kokovtsov's book «Bolshevism in Action. Moral and Economic Ruins in the Land of the Soviets», published in 1931 in French. While in exile, the prominent statesman of the Russian Empire during the reign of Nicholas II studied various aspects of the development of the Soviet Russia. The book covers the circumstances of the death of the royal family in Yekaterinburg, the struggle of the Soviet government against religion, policy in the field of family, children and education. Also, the author who served as Minister of Finance from 1904 to 1914 analyzes in detail the economic policy of the state, carried out after the October Revolution of 1917. Kokovtsov tried to convince the European readers that Bolshevism had led Russia to the moral decline and economic ruin and that this regime was a danger to other countries.
