The article is devoted to geopolitical processes in the world taking place with the participation of Russia. Factors allowing our country to count on the world leadership and the reasons that prevent it are analyzed. The article contains the conclusion about the great economic potential of Russia. Today Russia is among the candidates for leadership mostly because of its fuel and energy complex.
